The stoppage of More beautiful life was a real shock for the actors and fans of the France 3 program. For nearly 20 years, viewers were passionate about the stories of Blanche, Roland Luna and Céline. Over the years, the screenwriters have made sure to tackle all the themes, even the most controversial. “More beautiful life changed mentalities about homosexuality. And I’m proud of it”, had confided Laurent Kerusoré, one of the actors of the soap opera. But the end of the series would have been motivated by the viewers themselves. “The public told us that he had lost the fundamentals”, explained the program director of France Télévisions. For the time being, his replacement is struggling to find his audience and the channel has had to make several programming changes.
Soon a return of More beautiful life ?
According to some rumors, some members of the team of More beautiful lifewould work on a return of the series, but others, including actors do not believe in it. “The studios are being destroyed. One More beautiful life without the Place du Mistral, I can’t imagine it. If it’s done, I’ll find it great and there’s something very nice to do with my friends, I’m not closing the door”explained Élodie Varlet to our colleagues from TV Starand she’s not the only one to think so. “Personally, I don’t believe it. The fans of More beautiful lifeare therefore not the only ones to hope for the return of the series and the actors themselves would like to take on their role again. “I would be very happy to resume my role as Thomas. But maybe not in such a recurring way, because we all had to mourn this series” , confided Laurent Kerusoré. For his part, Stéphane Henon gave his “green light”for the series to be revived, while Rebecca Hampton finds this project “awesome”. “But it is not said that I am part of it”, confided the actress.
