Phil Spencer decided to tease Xbox fans during a recent interview granted to IGN, where he talked about a possible participation in E3 2023 by the American gaming giant.

Earlier this week, Microsoft itself officially confirmed that it would returned to Los Angeles for her summer showcase, whose timing seems ‘strangely’ to coincide with those of the videogame event most awaited by the players: E3. However, it is not yet totally clear whether Xbox will take part. Spencer himself, during the above interview, was very crypticdeciding not to answer the questions posed by the interviewer about the event:

Well, we carefully choose the period in which to hold our showcase. E3 is for me one of the most important moments in the history of video games. I like the idea of going to LA, with thousands of people, seeing big news… meeting people from the industry, attending events with fans. I definitely want this to continue“.

However, the interview with IGN was an excellent opportunity to find out Spencer’s point of view on the acquisition of Activision. Apparently, the Xbox CEO seems to have learned a lot in the course of this merger process, so much so that he is believed very optimistic about the success of the deal. Spencer, just think, spoke openly of it as a true ‘educational experience’.

All this against the backdrop of recent rumors about the meeting between the EU antitrust and Sony’s Jim Ryan, whose statements could have a significant weight on the entire success of the acquisition.
