Members of the Argentine Naval Prefecture dismantled a smuggling operation and seized a shipment of almost 64,000 kilos of corn and more than 14,800 kilos of soybean expeller, which were to be illegally exported from the Misiones coast of El Soberbio to Brazil.

According to what was consigned by official sources of the Force, the kidnapping was the result of a land patrol that made it possible to detect, at kilometer 1,161 of the Uruguay River, movements of loading and unloading of merchandise.

When going to the place, the Maritime Authority found that there were 195 burlap bags with soy expeller inside, one of the main by-products obtained from the extraction of bean oil, which were being loaded from a truck to a docked vessel. on the coast.

The members of the Force noticed that the merchandise involved was similar to that existing in a shed located in the immediate vicinity of the place, for which reason, by means of a search warrant from the Federal Court of Oberá Misiones, they proceeded to enter it.

As a result of the operation, more than 63,800 kilos of corn and more than 14,800 kilos of soy expeller were obtained.
