The events occurred in the Flamboyanes subdivision, when the support of elements of the Progreso Municipal Police was requested, because residents of 56-A street between 25 and 27 reported an aggressive dog that was attacking a kitten.
In addition to this, the animal was aggressive towards drivers passing through the area, so the neighbors did not hesitate to ask for support from the emergency services.
How they could, the complainants captured the animal and handed it over to officials, who they approached him in the back of the official unit and he was transferred to the municipal command.
A unit of the Progreso Municipal Police took charge of the animal.
For their part, the police reported that the animal was going to remain under the protection of the Command, until its owner came to look for it.
“Something is not going to happen and then the little animal will have to pay the consequences,” said a neighbor.
In the same way, he mentioned that for a moment they thought that the animal was aggressive because it was scared, since it was far from home.
Pitbull waiting for his human
The dog was transferred to the Commandery awaiting its human.
Neighbors said that he is well cared for at the Command, so his owner comes looking for him.
They also indicated that the dog “is beautiful and looks well cared for”, so they presume that it escaped from its humans.
Although they managed to stop the attack on the kitten, it is unknown if he was injured and to avoid this type of attack, the neighbors recommend the Pitbull’s owner not to let him out alone due to the aggressiveness and risk he represents for children, passers-by and pets.
