Officials of the Government of the province of Buenos Aires met today with representatives of union organizations of workers organized in Law 10430 and agreed to advance to May the points of increase stipulated for July.

Within the framework of the meetings scheduled for today, officials from the Axel Kicillof administration summoned this afternoon the representatives of the state unions of the Union of Civilian Personnel of the Nation (UPCN), the Association of State Workers (ATE) and the Federation of State and Private Unions of the Province (Fegeppba).

During the meeting, they were proposed to advance the increase points stipulated for July to May, which establishes an average salary increase of 40% to May 2023.

As he learned, the offer was accepted by the state unions.

The agreement also includes the commitment of the provincial government to reopen negotiations in June.

After this meeting, the meetings continued with the representatives of the Buenos Aires Judicial Association – which agreed and accepted the proposal – and the Teaching Unity Front (FUDB). The representatives of the teachers took the proposal to put it to the consideration of the bases.

The Minister of Treasury and Finance, Pablo López, assured that “these agreements maintain the commitment that we assumed at the beginning of the year and are the product of permanent dialogue with the representatives of the unions.” “From the management of Governor Axel Kicillof we will continue working to recover the purchasing power of provincial workers,” he concluded.

For his part, the Minister of Labor, Walter Correa assured: “The permanent dialogue we have with the unions was essential to respond to the workers.” “From the Province we will continue to strengthen contact with the union organizations to together find the most convenient path to address the claims of the comrades,” he concluded.

Present, representing the Ministry of Finance, were the Undersecretary for Economic Coordination and Statistics, Nicolás Todesca, and the Provincial Director of Labor Economics in the Public Sector, Gisela Swaels; for the Ministry of Labor, the Chief of Staff, Cecilia Cecchini; and the provincial director of Collective Bargaining, Juan Pablo Lorenzo; for the Head of the Cabinet of Ministers, the Undersecretary of Public Employment and Property Management, Daniel Lorea; and the provincial director of Benefits and Resources of the IPS, Carmen Sarra.
