POCO F4 GT was launched in April 2022 with the super processor Snapdragon 8 Gen1, 8 GB of RAM memory, 128 GB of storage and a robust battery of 4700 mAh capacity. Its screen is a 6.67″ AMOLED panel, FullHD resolution and 120Hz refresh rate.
At least here in Brazil, this sweetheart is at a hefty price, going for nothing more, nothing less than BRL 4,200. On AliExpress, where it is originally sold, you can find it for around R$2,190, which is great, but bad at the same time, because right… AliExpress is AliExpress.

We played a total of 6 games, of the most varied genres: Devil May Cry 3, God of War 2, Kingdom Hearts 2, Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja 5, Need for Speed Carbon and Resident Evil 4. All these games combined should give us a nice overview of the device’s performance in the Aether.
Aether SX2 Configuration
As you complained a lot in the last Aether video about the fact that I was messing with the Cycle Rate and Cycle Skip to run the games, today I’m not going to touch anything, as well as in the next episodes of the frame. Everything that was played today is in the default setting, with the exception of the resolution that was set to 3x (1080p). The engine remains OpenGLsince we didn’t change that either.
Devil May Cry 3
I beat Devil May Cry yesterday on the PC at home and, man, I’ll tell you, what a good game. The entire DMC series is of a very high standard when compared to other games in the same genre. I’ll tell you that it’s kind of weird to get used to the 3’s movement and mechanics after having played Devil 5 recently, but that’s just me, because the game is a great example of a good PS2 game, mainly because this beloved one was made in 60 FPS and not 30, or 24, like others from Play 2.

But remembering that the slowness was just fleeting and light, nothing absurd and unplayable. Alright, we have two things here: the game ran, but Kingdom Hearts is a [email protected]$#*, seriously, what a lazy game. For some special reason, the developers of this game thought it would be a good idea to cap his framerate at 25 for a more “cinematic” effect, but it just doesn’t work.
Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja 5
Unlike the last episode of the series, this time I didn’t get choked by Sakura in the fight, but she threw me off the map about 4 times. In narutinho, there’s nothing to talk about, since the game ran like a beauty. It’s true that this specific game doesn’t get anything more than 25 FPS, but that doesn’t interfere much because they’ve already made it to run that way.
No crashes, no hassles, rest assured that Naruto Shippuuden Ultimate Ninja 5 won’t have any problems. By the way, this is one of the games that we can replace if you don’t want to see it anymore, just suggest another 2D fighting game that I test. Anyway, even taking only 25 frames of average, the ✔️ Seal is Flat Wheel✔️ because anyway this is the maximum performance the game will get.
Need For Speed Carbon
Honestly, what do you want me to say? That’s exactly what you’re seeing: Need For Speed Carbon is not an easy game to emulate, even on high-end devices. The game has a lot of trouble running when there’s more than one car on the screen. The slowness is impossible to deal with and very difficult to solve, but maybe you can get a minimal solution by reducing the internal resolution to the native Playstation 2, without any upscaling.
This is also the time when speed hacks and gimmicks come into play because, in sandbox mode at least, the game is hopeless. ❌No Wheel Seal❌, it’s hard to find a device that runs Need.

I always thought that Resident Evil 4 was running poorly, but after a while I realized that this is a feature of the game itself, since it is all crashed and with a little slow movement (no offense). The game runs at 30 frames per second, with very little slowdowns or variations in the frame rate, giving room to run at 60 FPS with the help of some tweak patch or another. By the way, most of these famous games have “cheat” files to insert into the emulator and run them with an average of 60 frames.
So, if you want, I can “fix” the games we have here, moving away from 25, 30 FPS and opening possibilities for a more efficient cell phone performance evaluation, but it all depends on you. Anyway, ✔️ Seal is Flat Wheel✔️ for the POCO F4 in Resident Evil 4.

The POCO F4 GT, as well as in the test of Android games, completely dented in performance. This smartphone, with a very heavy processor that is the Snapdragon 8 Gen1, manages to easily take the vast majority of emulated PS2 games, with rare exceptions, like the Need For Speed Carbon that doesn’t work at all. If you have any doubts, don’t worry, this device here won’t cause you any problems.
