This artist is a TV star!

Curly hair, big glasses, colorful wool poncho. The alleged painting teacher Connie Müller takes over the lessons in an art class. But that’s just a disguise. Behind it is Barbara Schöneberger (48), who plays such a prank for “Do you understand fun?” (Saturday, 8:15 p.m. in the first).

In fact, you don’t recognize them at first glance!

The moderator to BILD: “The art teacher should simply be as far away from me as possible, and of course everything helps. I had everything glued onto my face, from glued-on under-eye circles to a drooping jawline – although I have to be honest I can now deliver those myself. I had health shoes on and wore a fat body underneath, which really made me quite bulky.”

“The experiences of the last editions have simply shown that I have such a typical face, such a typical voice and my eyes were somehow always recognized by everyone. That’s why we had to work with darker contact lenses, a wig and false teeth. But it was great fun.”

She sat in the mask for four hours. Barbara Schöneberger could hardly believe it when she heard that before. She endured everything patiently. She: “To make it look like it doesn’t look disguised or masked, but looks really real and genuine, it just takes an infinitely long time. I try to sit and my soul leaves my body while two ladies work their way into me in a touching way. But then the result really speaks for itself.”

By “result” she just means her disguise, because that’s one of those things with her artistic talent. Schöneberger: “I’m not good at painting. Unfortunately, I got stuck in naive painting. And whenever I work with a brush and paint, it goes in the direction of the house, tree, car, path, garden fence. I’m terribly uncreative. However, I can draw quite well.”

To motivate the unsuspecting art class to perform at their best, Schöneberger also played various instruments in the hidden camera prank. With moderate success, as she admits. “I don’t think what I did there can inspire anyone.”

And further: “I have to say, however, that I am still in love with my protagonists, who really went through everything and were in a good mood until the end, although I really did everything to spoil their art school stay properly.”

And for the TV icon, one thing is certain after this theater: “I love this show!”
