More of 2.7 million tourists mobilized during Holy Weekregistering 4% more than what happened last year with the promotion of the Pre-Travel program, according to the surveys of the Argentine Tourism Observatory (OAT).

The province with the highest occupancy level is San Juan, with an average of 97%, while emblematic destinations such as Salta, the Quebrada de Humahuaca, Puerto Iguazú, Colón, Villa Carlos Paz, Mendoza, Tandil, San Carlos de Bariloche and El Calafate they have practically full occupancy. In addition, the massive influx of tourists from Chile, Uruguay and Brazil stands out.

“Hand in hand with the growth of international tourism, we once again set another record during Holy Week, with very high occupancy in all regions of Argentina. Tourism, with its ability to generate employment and opportunities in every corner of the country, continues showing extraordinary growth”, assured the Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Nation, Matías Lammens.

In this line, the president of the Argentine Chamber of Tourism (CAT), Gustavo Hani, considered that “during this weekend the interest of travelers for increasingly federal tourism was observed, with higher average occupancy numbers to those of last year. The strengthening of receptive tourism and the great growth of domestic tourism allow us to have very good expectations for the remainder of the year in our industry.”
