A group of former Twitter managers led by ex-boss Parag Agrawal has sued the company, which now belongs to Elon Musk. In a lawsuit filed Monday in Delaware and published by the New York Times, they are seeking more than $1 million in legal fees. In addition to Agrawal, former General Counsel Vijaya Gadde and former Chief Financial Officer Ned Segal are also involved.
Multi-billionaire Tesla boss Musk took over Twitter in October and immediately fired the company’s executive board. With their lawsuit, Agrawal and his former colleagues are now claiming costs they incurred during their time at Twitter through shareholder lawsuits, investigations by the US Securities and Exchange Commission and the Justice Department. You had requested the refund more than two months ago.
Musk has drastically reduced the Twitter workforce since the acquisition – from around 7,500 to around 2,000. Since then, other lawsuits have been filed against the company by office building landlords, consultants and subcontractors for unpaid bills.
The Wall Street Journal in February estimated the outstanding costs totaled $14 million, not including interest. (AFP)
