Bands of severe storms will move into the area over a period of several hours on Friday.

The greatest risk is forecast to be from heavy rain, hail, damaging winds and the occasional thunderstorm. There is also the possibility of isolated tornadoes.

A First Alert was issued by the TELEMUNDO62 meteorological team from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm on Friday where the greatest risk to the system is expected.

The places hit hardest by this severe weather system will be southern New Jersey and coastal Delaware, but that doesn’t mean Pennsylvania neighborhoods will get part of the rain.

Philadelphia and nearby suburbs are at “marginal” severe storm risk, while NJ and Delaware were listed at “mild.”
