At least one person was killed in a Russian attack on the southern Ukrainian city of Mykolayiv, officials said. “So far we know of 15 wounded and one dead,” said the head of the regional military administration, Vitaly Kim. Mayor Oleksandr Senkevych reported four explosions. A rocket hit a high-rise building, another hit a private home.

Kim and the regional police chief said an apartment building was hit by a missile.

Mykolayiv is located on the Black Sea, about 170 kilometers from the Crimean Peninsula, which was annexed by Russia. Russian forces have regularly attacked the city since the start of their invasion in February 2022.
