Russian missile attack kills 6 in President Zelensky's hometown

The conflict in Ukraine has once again exacted a devastating toll when Russian ballistic missiles targeted President Volodymyr Zelensky’s hometown of Kryvyi Rih.

Russian missiles rained down on an apartment complex and a university building in Kryvyi Rih, causing widespread destruction and trapping residents under rubble; he attack resulted in the loss of at least six lives and left another 75 injured.

The dead included a 10-year-old girl and her mother.While Ukrainian officials reported that more than 350 people took part in the rescue operation, highlighting the scale of the tragedy, according to the AP agency.

Escalation of the conflict in the Donetsk province

The conflict escalated further when a Ukrainian artillery attack in the Donetsk province killed two people and wounded six others.

The regional capital witnessed a bus being hit multiple times during the shelling, adding to the mounting casualties and devastation, according to public Zelensky in a video on social media.

According to reports of Ukrainian drone strikes that hit targets deep inside Russian territory, including Moscow, tensions have risen.

While Ukrainian officials have not acknowledged the latest attack near the Kremlin, Russia has tightened security, calling it an “act of desperation” by the Kiev regime.

As the Ukrainian counter-offensive, supported by NATO countries, continues, concerns are being raised about the use of resources.

The situation raises doubts in Western capitals and discomfort among taxpayers about the efficiency of supporting the kyiv regime.
