While LG unveiled its 2023 OLED TVs yesterday, today it’s Samsung’s turn to to present its products for 2023 as part of the CES. The least we can say is that this year, Korean came in force.

Two QD-OLED TVs unveiled

Following the launch of the S95B in 2022, Samsung has announced two new QD-OLED TVs for 2023. The S95C is the TV is the first OLED TV to be AMD FreeSync Premium Pro Certified, to provide gamers with the best possible experience.

It is also one of the only products to be equipped with a 144 Hz panel, and it offers most cloud gaming services directly in its Gaming Hub. In particular, you will be able to enjoy GeforceNOW in 4K, Amazon Luna, Utomik as well as Xbox Cloud Gaming directly on your television.

The Gaming Hub is also evolving into version 3.0 this year and now also offers the functions MiniMap Sharing and Virtual Aim Point.

In 2023, GameBar 3.0 with MiniMap Sharing and Virtual Aim Point improve the experience for all types of gamers. Minimap Sharing lets players see their game’s minimap at a glance on any screen, while Virtual Aim Point, designed for first-person shooters ( FPS), allows players to see a more visible crosshair in any game so they can land the perfect shot.

The S95C differs from last year’s model by the presence of a One Connect box, which includes all the connections in an external box. In comparison, the S90C has classic connectors at the back of the TV, and a less efficient sound system.

Both products run on the Tizen 7.0 OS and are available in 55, 65 and 77 inches. They will be available during the first half of 2023 and the prices will be communicated later. Remember, moreover, that it will once again be necessary to do without Dolby Vision in Korean.

The microLED is coming in 2023!

In addition to QD-OLED TVs, Samsung also promises the launch of the first micro-LED TVs in 2023, after a 6-year wait. They will be available in 50, 63, 76, 89, 101, 114 and 140 inches.

The MICRO LED 2023 range offers new models ranging from 50 to 140 inches to provide consumers with a wide range of options for unparalleled picture quality and screen experience. Thanks to its modular nature, MICRO LED is not tied to shape, ratio and size, making it completely customizable to fit the consumer’s desired installation. Plus, it’s bezel-less, so no matter the configuration, the boundary between screen and real life is seamless.

As a reminder, microLED allows, like OLED, each pixel to emit its own light in order to offer infinite contrast. This very promising new technology has been long awaited by image enthusiasts, and we can’t wait to see the first models arrive. On paper, it impresses in particular with its modularity, its performance and the “edgeless” appearance of the slab.

Finally, Samsung will obviously also offer its NeoQLED (miniLED) 4K and 8K televisions, with sizes and technologies proven by the manufacturer for several years now.
