While the launch of the Galaxy S23 does not happen, Samsung has just confirmed more details about the OneUI 5.1, the South Korean giant’s new system interface. Based on Android 13, the new version of the system is about to be released for some specific models and Sammy has already given us clues about what those models are.

Samsung reveals details about One UI 5.1

As reported by the portal 9to5Googlea more recent record of the Galaxy Watch 5 explicitly mentions the long-awaited One UI 5.1 interface. Among the most important details, it is possible to identify the addition of a new functionality called “Camera Controller”.

This function should allow the user to be able to better control their cell phone’s camera, directly from the Galaxy Watch 5, being able to zoom in and out, for example. This feature had already been mentioned by Samsung, which said that this functionality would be available from February.

Which phones will receive One UI 5.1?

Starting with the Galaxy S20, all high-end models should receive One UI 5.1

Expected to be released in February, One UI 5.1 should arrive first on smartphones in the new Galaxy S23 line. However, the record found for the Galaxy Watch 5 also talks about other models that will be updated. See the list cited in the code:

It is true that other Samsung models should receive One UI 5.1, especially the latest releases in the line Galaxy A and Galaxy M. However, those models mentioned in the list should be the only ones that will support the One UI 5.1 Camera Controller feature, at least for now.

More details about One UI 5.1 should be coming soon, especially as its launch is already in February of this year.
