UA group of astronomers from the University of British Columbia announced the discovery of another 62 natural satellites of Saturn. This means that the planet becomes the one with the largest number of moons in our Solar System.

As the mashableJupiter was (temporarily) the planet with the most natural satellites but, with this new discovery, Saturn is now the ‘crown’ holder with a total of 145 moons.

Note that these new moons still have to be confirmed by the International Astronomical Union, and only then will it be possible to say with certainty that Saturn is the planet with the largest number of natural satellites.
