United States Senator Rick Scott met with former political prisoners and leaders of the Latin American community in Miami to discuss the impeachment against former President Donald Trump.

Scott said this Monday in the city of Doral, that this is not supposed to be happening in the United States and that these are actions in which the government basically attacks its opponents.

He accused the Biden administration of high-handedness, while saying that with this accusation against Trump, “the administration and the current president are destroying trust in the judicial system of the United States by going after political opponents, and that is what made totalitarian regimes with Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua”.

Scott stated that the investigations against Joe Biden and Hilary Clinton, for improper processing of documents have not progressed and added that if Biden and Clinton had also been charged, then we would be in a situation of justice.

The senator refers to the fact that the Joe Biden administration has fostered a politicization of the judicial system, which has become a system diverted to persecute those who stand for the current president and that this must stop because it is about abuses of power by the government.

In addition to Rick Scott, former Cuban, Venezuelan and Nicaraguan political prisoners spoke among them, the Cuban Luis Zúñiga.
