It was unanimously approved in the 39th ordinary session of the Cabildo an extension in the discounts of property tax payments until December 31, 2023, this only for older adults who have their Inapam card, or are people with a disability.
The 15 councilors plus the government secretary, the municipal trustee and the municipal president, voted in favor of extending the period in which the elderly and people with disabilities may exercise the subsidy that would give them up to 50 percent discount on the property tax payment corresponding to the fiscal year of the current year.
Retirees, pensioners or those who have their Inapam credentials will also benefit, said during the reading of the agreement, the general secretary of the municipal council, Jorge Aguilar Osorio.
He pointed out that this decision was made because it is recognized that these people have to make more effort to be able to carry out their daily activities and also pointed out in the reading that sometimes it is difficult for them to have access to the places where the necessary payments and procedures are made. with which I consider it important to continue with the support.
However, there will be some restrictions when a person wants to use the benefit.
Conditions
Seniors will have property discount until December 31
The payment will have to be made in a single exhibition, the payment can only be made for a single property that is in the name of the person requesting, the property will have to be a house-room with a value of up to 20 thousand UMAS or 1 million 924 thousand pesos.
After indicating the situation and the conditions to obtain the subsidy, the Cabildo voted unanimously to be able to extend the payment period with the stimulus up to 50 percent discount.
