Four children, between the ages of 8 and 11, will face charges for allegedly being involved in an act of vandalism and robbery that occurred on Friday, June 30 at the Gulf Coast Eye Institute, an eye care center located in Falfurrias. .

“The minors stole optical frames that were of no use to them or to anyone else,” the Falfurrias Police said on their Facebook page. The case, it was indicated, was resolved thanks to the clues offered by citizens.

This past Friday, June 30 at approximately 8:13am, a police officer was dispatched to the Gulf Coast Eye Institute due to a possible robbery. Upon arriving at the place, the agent observed the destruction caused inside the place.

“Parents… please take time to talk to your children. Please know where your children are and what they are doing. This senseless crime was preventable. The nature and amount of destruction from this business is incomprehensible. Our small community has a hard time maintaining business because of juvenile crimes like this,” Falfurrias Police added.
