A shooting took place this Thursday on Pedro Cárdenas avenue with Longoria avenue, in Matamoros, for which the population has been asked to avoid the area and exercise great caution.
Unofficially it has been indicated that elements of the Navy confronted alleged armed criminals. Even in videos on social networks you can see the elements of the Navy with long weapons while the detonations are clearly heard.
“I ask you to be careful when traveling along Pedro Cárdenas avenue and Longoria avenue in Matamoros, because a few moments ago a risk situation was registered; therefore, there is already a presence of authorities in the place,” wrote the former mayor of Matamoros, Lety Salazar, on your Facebook account.
Although no arrests have been officially reported so far, images show people with their arms behind their backs, in a position as if they were handcuffed.
This is not the first time that peace in Matamoros has been disturbed, either by operations or by acts of crime that involve shootings.
