A shooting claimed the life of a 17-year-old teenager and injured another 19-year-old in events that occurred at around 10:04 p.m. on Thursday, on Avenida Santiago de los Caballeros, kilometer 3.9, exit Universidad de Puerto Rico, in Ponce .
According to the preliminary police report, a call to 9-1-1 alerted to shots. When authorities arrived at the scene, they found the minor, who had several gunshot wounds.
The young man who was injured was transported to a hospital unit in careful condition. In addition, regarding these facts, a motor vehicle was found near the place, which had several bullet wounds.
At this time, the victims have not been identified.
The agent José García Rivas attached to the Criminal Investigation Corps (CIC) of Ponce, together with the prosecutor Patricia Lugo Rodríguez, took charge of the corresponding investigation.
