President Alberto Fernández pointed out this Wednesday that Argentina has a “marvelous” and “resilient” people who have been able to rise “a thousand times” and pointed out that in his government “the foundations for growth have been laid, not as a desire but as a reality”.
The Head of State inaugurated the Modular Hospital of Los Cardales, in the Municipality of Exaltación de la Cruz, together with the Minister of Public Works, Gabriel Katopodis.
Fernández stated that he was “outraged” and felt “a lot of pain” when he heard his predecessor, Mauricio Macri, say that “Argentina has the most frustrated society in the last 70 years.”
“This is a wonderful society, we are a wonderful people and I don’t want them to be confused and say that we are fourth class. We are the most resilient people in the world. We have stood up a thousand times, after a thousand problems,” he said. the head of state.
He stated that when the Frente de Todos (FdT) came to power “the Nation did not have a Ministry of Health and measles had once again become a disease in the country. He also listed a series of achievements made despite the years of pandemic and the European war: “Since 2019 we are the second fastest growing country in the world. There are 21 provinces whose unemployment is below 1%.”
Although he explained that he does not stop “thinking for a second about inflation, and about improving people’s income,” he clarified that “ahead is the challenge of equality.”
“We laid the foundations for Argentina to grow. It is not a wish, it is a reality. We grew 10.3% last year, we are going to grow above 5%. We are going to grow in 2023,” he added.
5800 public works
Previously, Minister Katopodis highlighted that of the 5,800 public works started by the national government, 2,803 are finished and that work is being done to “be able to finish each one of those started” so that Argentines have the “country project” in a “concrete” way ” that Peronism proposes.

In this sense, the minister predicted years of “a lot of growth” and affirmed that the discussion will be about “who gets the growth.”
