NY.- Six people died this Saturday when the private plane in which they were traveling crashed in southern California (United States), local authorities reported.
According to a statement from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, deputies located the aircraft engulfed in flames and pronounced all six people on board dead.
The incident took place near the town of Murrieta, southwest of Los Angeles and about 130 kilometers from the Mexican border.
The flames burned approximately one acre (just under half a hectare) of vegetation before being controlled, the area fire service reported via Twitter.
The victims have not yet been publicly identified and, according to the sheriff’s office, the investigation will be taken over by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board.
