In the report it appears that the municipal board needs to carry out a review of the organization for control and management, that this is done in an appropriate manner and that work routines need to be established to secure the documents that govern this work.
Criticism of the budget
It is also noted in this review that tasks in the municipal board are drawn up verbally and that this leads to it being difficult to follow the decision-making. While it is pointed out that the budget has not been exceeded, criticism is directed at the fact that the budget has determined the conditions “in clear contrast to what can be delegated”.
The audit recommends Skinnskatteberg municipality to sharpen its work and find an overall structure in the business. Furthermore, they suggest that the municipality needs to introduce internal controls and find better and safer routines.
The project has so far cost the municipality’s residents SEK 5,187,000.
