On Thursday afternoon, a large number of emergency services responded to smoke in a hotel in Bürserberg.

On Thursday, January 5, 2023, around 3 p.m., smoke developed in an electrical installation distributor in the stairwell of a hotel on Bürserberg.


The alerted emergency services did not have to carry out any extinguishing work.

The smoke development was caused by a smoldering fire between the stairwell timer and the phase busbar. 80 people were able to leave the building in time.


A total of 18 paramedics were called to the scene.

The fire brigade was on site with 7 vehicles and 60 men. However, extinguishing work was no longer necessary.

In addition, the following resources and vehicles were on site: two ambulances with 18 paramedics, three police vehicles with six police officers and the “Christophorus 8” and “Libelle” helicopters.
