Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who coached the star striker at Molde FK before joining the Red Devils, tells The Sun: “I called United about six months before I took over there. And further: “I asked for a fee of four million pounds (about 4.5 million euros, editor’s note) but they didn’t get it.” Instead, Haaland went to RB Salzburg for eight million euros. The rest is history: The Norwegian switched to Manchester City via Borussia Dortmund and broke the goal record there in his first season. In 47 competitive games, the 22-year-old has 51 goals and eight assists.
