The always as sharp-sighted users on It will reset has noted that Sony has raised the prices of some of its games released to Steam.

Canada is one of the regions where this has happened and prices have been raised from $69.99 to $79.99, and some countries have received an even bigger increase (one of them being Argentina, which probably has to do with their absolutely massive inflation). So far, Sony has not commented on why they have done this, so we don’t know if more countries will be added or if Playstation will also be affected.

Sony was also the first console maker this generation to raise the prices of its games (at the start of the generation) and its hardware (last year). This was eventually followed by Microsoft and to some extent Nintendo with The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Hopefully this price increase is an isolated event as many people are currently already struggling with the economy.
