Pursuing your studies abroad has become the dream of all Algerian students. However, due to a lack of means, the latter take advantage of the many scholarships offered by foreign universities to finance their studies and obtain new diplomas.
In this wake, the South Korean Embassy in Algeria informs that the last deadline to apply for its Global Korea Scolarship program, for the year 2023, is set for March 5, 2023 at 4 p.m.. But, what is the GKS program, and who are the people involved?
South Korea offers scholarships for Algerian students
The GKS program is a set of scholarships offered by the Korean government for Algerian students wishing to pursue their studies, masters and doctorates in the most prestigious institutions in South Korea. And this, in particular with the aim of strengthening exchanges between the two countries.
In total, South Korea offers five places for Algerian students to pursue 3 years of master studies and 4 years for doctoral students in various specialties. Interested students must submit their applications, face-to-face, at the South Korean Embassy in Algeria. On the other hand, candidatures submitted more than once will be elected automatically.
In addition, to increase their chances of winning this scholarship, Algerian students are required to submit a complete file (click here for more information on the required documents). The latter must be in English or Korean. On the other hand, the Embassy of South Korea in Algeria specifies that any file which is incomplete or submitted after the deadline for applications will be rejected.
Following the evaluation of the application files, the selected students will be informed by telephone call or by e-mail. And this, in particular in the afternoon of March 16, 2023. These candidates will be invited for an interview. on March 21, 2023.
