Washington.- The special adviser to the USA in international rights of people with disabilities, Sara Minkara, will participate in the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum APEC 2024, organized in Peru, to advocate for the inclusion of people with disability in economies.
For this purpose, he will be in Lima, the capital of that South American country, until August 4, where he will promote the social and economic empowerment of people with this condition, reported a statement from the United States Department of States USA.
The Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum (APEC for its acronym in English) is an instance, made up of 21 countries, whose objective is to create prosperity for the inhabitants of the region, through the promotion of balanced, inclusive and economic growth. sustainable, says the Ministry of Communication and Tourism of Peru. In addition, it seeks investment in the Asia-Pacific region.
Special Adviser Minkara is scheduled to meet with government officials, regional and municipal authorities, as well as local non-governmental organizations, disability activists and business leaders.
