SPÖ leader Gabriele Sprickler-Falschlunger goes on the offensive: After her husband, Health Minister Johannes Rauch, caused a stir with a controversial tweet, she announced that she would only speak in the female form.
The doctor lives privately in a red-green coalition and is married to none other than Health Minister Johannes Rauch. But despite the family closeness, the minister sometimes has to accept severe criticism from his own wife.
This was also the case in the summer of the previous year, when Rauch ended the corona quarantine in Austria and switched to a system of “traffic restrictions” for infected people. “At the moment, the wrong decision by the Minister of Health,” said the social democrat Rauch at the time via press release. But that’s not all.

Rauch recently caused a stir with a tweet. The Green Minister wrote about “pregnant people” and received a violent shitstorm on social media. Neos boss Beate Meinl-Reisinger and women’s minister Susanne Raab also expressed criticism. And Gabriele Sprickler-Falschlunger is also moderately pleased with her husband’s faux pas: “Of course it wasn’t cheap,” she admits in the “Krone”.

But instead of sticking your head in the sand, Sprickler-False-Lunger is now going on the offensive. She starts the gender revolution for herself and announces that from now on she will only speak in the female form – without the internal I, asterisk or colon, reports Heute.at on Monday. “I’m now turning everyone into women, because for decades it was exactly the opposite,” explains the SPÖ leader.
But not only that: she also lets her voice speak in the SPÖ member elections and supports the incumbent party leader Rendi-Wagner. “I think dealing with Pam is terrible,” she complains, making it clear where she stands politically. She prefers not to say anything about Christian Kern, who some see as a challenger to Doskozil at the top of the party. Apparently the former Red Chancellor disappointed them on a human level.
