On April 5th, 20 hikers took the environmentally friendly train and bus to the valley station of the Karren cable car. From there we took the cable car to Dornbirn’s local mountain and enjoyed the beautiful view over Lake Constance from the mountain station.We then tackled the hike in the direction of Millrütte. First on forest paths and then in the sunshine we hiked past Schuttannen and the Hinterbergalpe to the Schöner Mann alp. The many benches that are here invite you to take a short break. Good mountain cheese could still be purchased from the vending machine. Afterwards we were warmly welcomed at the Emser Hütte (Fluhereck) and enjoyed delicious cheese spaetzle. Strengthened, we went down to the Millrütte alpine inn. Thirst was quenched on the sun terrace and the extremely practical and cheap Meschabus waited, which brought us back to the starting point.
