Star+ already starts the year full of news, that’s why the year 2023 has barely started. Star+ is a streaming service offered by the Latin American division of The Walt Disney Company. It has a variety of programs, including original content, movies and television series. The service is available in Latin America and the Caribbean and can be accessed through a variety of devices such as smartphones, tablets and smart TVs. You can subscribe to the service monthly or annually and it is also available as part of some pay and satellite TV packages. Now, among the highlights of the month of January, are the new exclusive series “Kaçis: Terrorist Escape” and “Welcome to Wrexham”; feature films like the one just released in theaters “The menu” and “Darby – The Sensitive Young Woman”in addition to the animations “Koala Man” and “The Isle of Shadows”. The menu
“The Menu” is a horror comedy produced by Hyperobject Industries/Gary Sanchez and directed by Mark Mylod. Margot (Anya Taylor-Joy) and Tyler (Nicholas Hoult) travel to an island off the Pacific Northwest coast to dine at an upscale restaurant, Hawthorne, where reclusive and renowned chef Julian Slowik (Ralph Fiennes) prepares a lavish menu. for a small group of special customers. As the night wears on, tension mounts at every table as secrets are revealed and unexpected dishes are served.
January 27th
Darby – The Sensitive Young Woman
After experiencing a near-death experience as a young girl, Darby Harper (Riele Downs) gains the ability to see the dead. With that, she ends up becoming introverted and withdrawing from her colleagues, preferring to spend her time counseling lonely spirits who have unfinished business on earth. But everything changes when Capri (Auli’i Cravalho), the “queen bee” of the school’s most popular group, dies unexpectedly in a freak accident with a flat iron, resulting in the cancellation of her 17th birthday party. However, on the other side, Capri begs Darby to step in and convince her friends to go ahead with the party as planned. To appease the wrath of the diva of the dead, Darby must break out of self-exile and reinvent herself, allowing her to find new joy in the land of the living.

Kaçis: Terrorist Escape
Comprised of eight 60-minute episodes, “Kaçis: Terrorist Escape” follows the story of Mehmet, a war photographer who never achieved the success he wanted, his friend Ilker, a reporter, and Zeynep, an activist, who join a group from Germany and illegally cross the Turkish border to investigate an Ezidi village. The village is invaded by a radical terrorist organization and they are captured. Some of the team are murdered, while Zeynep and the others are taken hostage. Zeynep, being a woman, and Ilker, not being a man like them, are subjected to all kinds of cruelty. Meanwhile, Mehmet manages to avoid the kidnapping and tries to survive on his own. Mehmet has only one option to save himself and his friends: infiltrate the organization and impersonate one of them.

Welcome to Wrexham
Rob McElhenney (“It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”) and Ryan Reynolds (“Deadpool”) face the challenges of managing the third oldest football club in the world. “Welcome to Wrexham” is a documentary series that reveals the dreams and problems of Wrexham, a working-class town in North Wales (Great Britain), when two Hollywood stars take over the city’s historic football club.
In 2020, Rob and Ryan teamed up to buy the Red Dragons fifth division team with the hopes of taking the club forward and showing the world a history of overcoming all expectations. The problem? Rob and Ryan have no experience playing football or working together.
