Star pianist Jos van Immerseel will be performing in the chamber concert hall of the cultural center in the coming weeks. The Belgian is not only known as a soloist on the piano. He is also the founder of the renowned ensemble “Anima Eterna”, which specializes primarily in music from the 18th and 19th centuries. In addition to his piano performances, Immerseel is always in demand as a conductor at international houses and well-known festivals.

In Bottrop he is now dedicating himself to piano works that Franz Schubert composed exactly 200 years ago. The program includes the 16 German Dances D783, the Piano Sonata No. 14 in A minor and the six Moments musicaux op. 94 D780. Jos van Immerseel does not play on a modern concert grand, but on a fortepiano of the kind that was in general use when Franz Schubert played. He is the winner of numerous international competitions and prizes as a soloist and as a conductor, including time and again for his recordings.
