A new PS5 exclusive game to get Starfield?
It’s the IconEra site that reports the news, claiming to have gotten its hands on a brand new, as yet unannounced game that should arrive on PS5. A sci-fi RPG that is currently being developed by Xdev, a Sony studio usually used as support. Moreover, another studio would also be on the project.
For the moment, the information, to be taken with tweezers of course, is very meager. It is said that the game will be developed under Unreal Engine 5 and it will definitely be one of the PlayStation exclusive service games.
The first images of the game that leaked on the net show us a version of the game at the very beginning of its development. Despite everything, several people think that it is already a competitor of Starfield and Mass Effect 4. But it’s really too early to tell.
For now, we can just see that this new PS5 game indeed seems to take place in a futuristic and post-apocalyptic universe and would opt for a third-person camera. We can indeed see what appears to be a soldier armed with an assault rifle advancing on a partially destroyed road. On the horizon, we can also see a huge building parasitized by an even bigger creature that moves while screaming. Although the version shared here is still in its infancy, and the clip is extremely short in addition to being of poor quality, it still looks quite promising. Sony would it be preparing a new large cartridge? Highly possible. We know that the firm is developing a whole host of unannounced games that should appear in the coming years on PS5, including several service games. IconEra also announces that other information around this mysterious new IP will be shared later in the year. 2023 could therefore hold new surprises for us.
Sony has already had a particularly busy year. In addition to the PSVR 2 which will arrive in February, the firm will also release a good number of big games like Forspoken, which arrives this month of January, Horizon Call of The Mountain or Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
