Street Fighter 6 has just revealed a new open world mode that you can already test on PS4 and PS5!
The output of Street Fighter 6 fast approaching. Yes, there are still a little less than two months before the official release next June 2. But players have been waiting for the new installment of the cult license for so long that it seems very close. In recent weeks, Capcom has been sharing more and more information about Street Fighter 6especially on the game’s roster. On Thursday, April 20, there was a showcase dedicated to Street Fighter 6. The opportunity for Capcom to reveal new elements on the fighting game… and to announce the release of a playable demo today on PS4 and PS5!
An open-world mode for Street Fighter 6!
During his presentation, Street Fighter 6 introduced the first 4 characters that will arrive within 12 months of its release. Rashid (summer 2023), AKI (fall 2023), Ed (winter 2023) and Akuma (spring 2024). We especially discovered the mode World Tour, a nice surprise that Capcom was preparing for fans. In this open-world mode, we can create our own character before setting off to explore the universe of Street Fighter 6. The World Tour will include RPG mechanics, such as the ability to increase your character’s stats with equipment. A skill tree will also be included. THE Battle Hub will allow you to compete against avatars created by players from all over the world. Because, of course, Street Fighter 6 does not ignore the multiplayer modes with on top of that the Versusthe Team Battle and theExtreme Battle.
A playable demo, but not for everyone
Good news, a demo of Street Fighter 6 is already available on PS4 and PS5. It gives access to the modes one on one, extreme combatand at World Tour. So you can take your first steps into Capcom’s open world. The avatar you create for this can be transferred to the final version of Street Fighter 6. Please note that this will only be possible if you buy the full game on the same platform. Small disappointment, this demo only allows you to play with two characters: Luke and Ryu. Already work on your best combos thanks to the mode Coaching. Unfortunately, if you play on Xbox or PC, you will have to wait a little longer before enjoying this demo.
