The truce granted by a sector of the Peruvian people, mostly from the interior of the country, to the government of Dina Boluarte is nearing completion. The protests will resume this Wednesday, January 4, after the end of the Christmas and New Year celebrations, and with this the social outbreak is once again a latent danger.

There are at least seven regions that announced, through their leaders and directors, the start of a indefinite strike so that their requests are obeyed, among them the closing of the Congress and the resignation of President Boluarte.

After a meeting in Arequipa, leaders of that region, Puno, Cusco, Apurímac, Moquegua, Madre de Dios and Ayacucho decided to terminate the truce that was offered to the Executive for the end-of-year festivities and will resume the demonstrations.
