“During this moment of immense grief, we ask for privacy as we mourn this overwhelming loss, as the circumstances surrounding the death of Claire and her brother are still under investigation,” the statement added.

And he concludes: “Claire will remain forever in our hearts, her absence left an irreplaceable void that will be felt by all who knew and loved her.”

the canadian Claire Eileen Qi Hope, better known as Lil Tay, rose to stardom in 2018 when she went viral at just 9 years old by starring in several videos in which showed large amounts of money sitting in luxurious cars. At the time of his death, he had more than 3.3 million followers on Instagram.

In a video, he bragged about buying a sports car from $200,000 despite not having a driver’s license due to being too young.

Her controversial videos also showed her swearing, insulting passersby, or even starting fights while claiming to be the ‘youngest lexer of the century’.

In 2018, he starred in a three-episode docuseries about his rise to fame titled “Life With Lil Tay”.

That same year, she found herself embroiled in a furious controversy in the midst of accusations that her father abused her and her brother exploited her. She last posted to Instagram in June 2018.

His brother Jason, 21, had previously created a GoFundMe page in an attempt to raise $19,000 for the teen after they both made allegations of physical and mental abuse against her father, Christopher Hope, and his wife, Hanee.
