Very discreet in 2022, the video game in the DC universe Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League was the guest of honor at State of Play tonight. Rocksteady developers were able to provide details about the gameplay of the title, its history but also … a release date!

Thing promised, thing due! Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League made its appearance during the Sony’s State of Play as the main star of the event. The opportunity for DC fans to see their favorite villains make their fists speak in a 15-minute video, especially after a game that has been discreet. During this extended preview (to be viewed at the top of the articles), Harley Quinn, DeadShot, King Shark and Captain Boomerang had to deal with a corrupt Flash. Rocksteady illustrated through several sequences the gameplay of the four “hero“with very aerial passages during which each showed their specificities: the grappling hook for Harley Quinn, the crashing landings for King Shark or the fatal agility of DeadShot.
These first seven minutes on Suicid Squad: Kill the Justice League end with a cinematic illustrating the despair of Wonder Woman wondering how to end this nightmare. What Flash has only one answer to give him: kill the Justice League.

But as promised, this extended preview doesn’t end there. It is the Rocksteady team who takes the floor to provide additional details about their game. Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is an expansion of the ArkhamVerse. It’s really now about reframing the story and telling it from the perspective of the villains.
Nick Arundel (Head of Audio) adds that it’s a mix of a lot of things he hopes fans love about Rocksteady and new stuff. Something that is observed with the presence of characters known as The Penguin but also that of new ones like Ghost or Toyman. A system of equipment and weapons (whose interface evokes that of Warzone) is also illustrated. Quickly at the end of the video, the developers indicate that content after the end of the story will be available with new content and a combat pass (cosmetic only) which should keep players wanting to return to Metropolis.
The big news? This is probably the release date, since Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is now expected on May 26, 2023 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC.
