In the third season of Superman & Lois, one of the few Arrowverse series still alive, will debut a new version of Lex Luthor, the main nemesis of the man of steel. To take on his role, as announced by Entertainment Weekly, Michael Cuditz will take care of itbest known to fans for his role as Abraham in The Walking Dead.

According to the official description of the character, this version of Luthor will be much more cynical than the others seen in live action. Cudlitz’s Lex Luthor is known to the world as the visionary billionaire behind LexCorp, but secretly the underworld knows who Lex really is: a brutal psychopath who terrorizes anyone who crosses his path. When Lex debuts this season, it’s been years since he left the public eye and he’s reemerging to right a personal injustice by taking revenge on the two people he feels wronged him: Superman (Tyler Hoechlin). and Lois Lane (Elizabeth Tulloch).

The third season of Superman & Lois premieres March 14 on The CW. The TV series is based on DC characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster and created by Greg Berlanti and Todd Helbing, who along with Sarah Schechter, Geoff Johns and David Madden are also executive producers. In Italy the show was broadcast on Italia 1 and streamed on Mediaset Infinity.
