There Sony conference at CES 2023 did not reserve any particular surprises, however some particularly interesting announcements related to the PlayStation world have arrived, here are all the innovations announced by Sony during the night.
The first announcement concerns the sales data of PS5: PlayStation 5 has sold 30 million consoles since launch and December 2022 turned out to be the best month ever for sales, even surpassing the month of launch (November 2020). Approximately five million PS5 consoles were shipped worldwide in the last quarter.
Other news is that related to new games for PlayStation VR2: we are talking about Beat Saber and Gran Turismo 7 VR, the latter will be available at the launch of the headset (February 22) and will be free for all those who already own a copy of Gran Turismo 7 on PlayStation 5. And continuing to talk about Gran Turismo , at CES it was screened a first look teaser of the Gran Turismo filmto be released in theaters on August 11th.
Sony then unveiled the Project Leonardo adaptive controller, a modular joypad designed to break down barriers and allow even gamers with mobility impairments to enjoy their favorite titles. Project Leonardo is a fully customizable controller thanks to a kit of buttons and levers of various shapes and sizes, so as to meet the needs of each individual user.
