In celebration of Television Week 2023, Telemundo Puerto Rico recognizes George Casaine López and Omaris Rodríguez Chiclana, two outstanding employees for their commitment, dedication and years of exemplary service.
George Casaine López began working as a television technician and editor at the age of 22. In 1991 he arrived at Telemundo Puerto Rico as Promotions Coordinator.
A year later, he became part of the Programming Department as Supervisor in charge of editing all the channel’s film material. Under this position, Casaine had the ability to create and develop the new editing department and intertwine the Traffic, Master Control and Video Tape departments, achieving more direct and effective communication. Since then, and thanks to his discipline and passion for his work, Casaine continues to supervise the editors of telenovelas, series, and movies that are broadcast on Telemundo.
Every day, George has continued to go the extra mile and make his way with new responsibilities such as being the direct link with Telemundo Network and being in charge of preparing the programming “grids” with José Cancela. His 32 years of experience at Telemundo have helped him strengthen a great winning team that, despite the events that we have all experienced, the work has not stopped. During all this time, Casaine has proven to be a great human being, committed and loyal.
Today, George Casaine enjoys all that he has sown as an employee, an exemplary son and husband, and the father of two wonderful daughters who are his greatest pride.
For her part, Omaris Rodríguez Chiclana, daughter of the legendary Puerto Rican theater, film and television actor José Angel Rodríguez, came to Telemundo in 2006 to do a professional internship in the Public Relations Department.
On February 26, 2007, Omaris accepted a job offer to work in Telemundo’s Finance Department. Despite the fact that her academic background was not in accounting, this work experience did not intimidate her and it opened her eyes to an interesting world and an enriching job, in a first class company.
Motivated by her new experience in general accounting and analysis, Omaris returned to academia and completed an MBA, with a concentration in Accounting, graduating from Inter-American University in 2022.
It is worth mentioning that Omaris completed these studies, working full time, taking care of 2 little girls, of school age and during the COVID-19 pandemic, a period of great challenges.
During this time, Omaris has demonstrated his tenacity, discipline, passion for his work, ambition and commitment.
She is always willing to go the extra mile and work as a team for the overall benefit.
With good humor and an excellent attitude to accept new assignments and challenges, Omaris is always available, not only for the Finance Department, but also for all of Telemundo’s operational departments.
Her availability would not be possible without the great support she receives from her husband, Ernesto Vázquez.
Today, Telemundo recognizes and celebrates Omaris Rodríguez Chiclana, as a professional who makes a great contribution to our organization and to the society in which we live.
May her example, energy, integrity, excellent values and commitment serve as an inspiration to every worker, especially to every woman in the world of work.
