The Province of Buenos Aires provided that drivers may circulate without the updated VTV, but instead they must present the turn to carry out the procedure.

As a consequence of the collapse in the control plants before the start of the holidays, the province of Buenos Aires formalized this Thursday a resolution so that the drivers who this month could not carry out the Vehicle Technical Verification (VTV) can circulate on Buenos Aires routes without being fined this summer. However, for this they must show the shift previously managed to complete this process.

This provision will not apply to those whose control has expired for some time, since the shift must have been managed before the expiration of the waferas stated in the provision of the Buenos Aires government.

In this way, the Minister of Transportation of the province of Buenos Aires, Jorge D’Onofrio, resolved “exceptionally” to establish that “those citizens who prove that they have processed and obtained a shift to carry out the Vehicle Technical Verification prior to its expiration, may circulate until the day of the shift granted, carrying the proof of processing of said shift, and the documentation corresponding to the expired VTV. This measure will be in effect until March 31, 2023″, according to Article 1 of the resolution.

The VTV is a control that is carried out periodically and obligatory on the vehicles to verify that they are in good mechanical condition, meet the safety conditions, carry the necessary documentation and do not emit excessive polluting gases. The process must be carried out every year, although there are some exceptions.
