Released in December 2022, The Callisto Protocol continues its merry way. Despite certain flaws, the title has received a rather positive reception from players, and is now being expanded with a new game mode.
The dismemberment mode arrives
This new mode called “Dismemberment” is accessible free of charge for all. It is available with the game’s 5.01 update, which introduces this new experience and also brings the ability to skip cutscenes.
Introducing the new Dismemberment mode! Prepare to shred your enemies limb by limb and feel the thrill of instant dismemberment as you fight your way through Black Iron’s prison.
In this mode, your shots instantly dismember enemies, for a more dynamic action-oriented experience. Note, however, that the achievements related to the campaign are blocked in this new mode.
As a reminder, The Callisto Protocol is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, as well as on Xbox Series X|S and PS5. If you’re unfamiliar with the game, it’s currently being sold at a reduced price at several merchants.
