Growth of more than 36% compared to last year
Indeed, Focus announced solid results for the fourth quarter of the 2022/23 financial year, with a turnover of 52.6 million euros, up from the 20.3 million euros achieved in same quarter of the previous year. This strong organic growth is attributable to the success of titles released during the second half of the year. Focus Entertainment acquires Railsimulator.com (Dovetail Games)
Focus Entertainment has acquired 100% of the shares of Railsimulator.com, the parent company of Dovetail Games Group, which is a well-known railway simulation game developer and publisher with the Train Sim World saga. The business model of the British company is based on the release of basic games accompanied by a solid strategy of additional content.
The acquisition is an important step in Focus Entertainment’s strategy, which plans to fully integrate the award-winning publisher with revenues of over £15 million for the financial year ending March 31, 2023. Although the strategy of Focus Entertainment is considered expensive, the Portzamparc analyst notes that this acquisition is part of a record financial year.
