“The six of us were in one part, we jumped in and a very large avalanche 100 meters wide came off and grabbed three of us”told in dialogue with the newspaper The people’s voice from his hometown, Tres Arroyos.

“The idea of ​​the trip was to do it in a motorhome for two weeks, we started walking on Sunday the 12th, we did a couple of days,” he explained from the Calgary clinic, where he underwent surgery and is recovering from his serious injuries. Alonso said that, at the time of the avalanche, the snow dragged them over stone jumps and trees, and hit them violently.

It is worth noting that the surprise avalanche of snow happened in a Canadian region that is characterized by having several ski resorts, close to the area known as Terminator 2 on the outskirts of Kicking Horse Ski Resort. As a result, they died at least two young Argentines, among whom was Sáenz, a 37-year-old from La Plata that He had lived in Chile for a long time and had traveled there on vacation.

Sáenz was a native of City Bell, but had lived in Chile for a long time. The young man was a graduate of the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of the UNLP, as indicated on his social networks, and was spending vacations in Canada with his wife when the unfortunate event that cost him his life happened.
