The Government ordered, through a decree of necessity and urgency, the extension until December 31, 2023 of the public emergency in health matters, established by law 27,541.
DNU 863/2022, published this Friday in the Official Gazette, authorizes the Ministry of Health as the enforcement authority for the health emergency and, in its recitals, argues that there are still special care needs due to the coronavirus pandemic and its impacts even in the field of mental health.

• The health emergency makes it possible to establish a provisional specialty registration and/or certification regime for those who do not have their degree process completed, revalidation of their degree, or undergraduate, graduate, or postgraduate certification in health sciences, prior intervention by the Ministry. of Education and with certification of competencies in charge of the care establishments that require them.
• You can also hire retired or retired health personnel, and authorize, exceptionally and temporarily, the hiring and practice of health professionals and technicians, graduates abroad whose title is not revalidated or authorized in the Argentine Republic.
• The health emergency allows the Health Ministry to authorize the installation and operation of field or modular hospitals even without having the prior administrative requirements and authorizations.
• The reassignment of budget items is authorized, by the Chief of the Cabinet of Ministers, for the implementation of the measures that are necessary under this emergency.
