Hearing the soundtrack to a new Guardians of the Galaxy movie is almost as exciting as watching the movie itself, as director James Gunn has always taken great care to weave the music into the action itself in a very elegant way.
While many of you probably have Awesome Mix in your digital music library, a physical copy remains special, and according to Comicbook.com will Guardians Vol. 3 receive this treatment on July 7th.
A cassette edition will then be launched (those who have record players can already get a vinyl edition of the latest Awesome Mix), which feels particularly appropriate. However, we’re guessing some of you will be upset that it doesn’t technically match the movie, as Peter Quill uses a Zune in movie three after his Walkman is destroyed in Guardians 2.
