The investigation into the murder of primary school teacher Carla Betiana De Olivera (37) at the hands of hit men is advancing with the uncertainty inherent in these cases. Hired killers have no relationship with the victims, no motivation other than money, and they vanish like ghosts, leaving death behind.

There are no strings to pull from and, unless moments after the crime are caught, like the murder of Cristian Javier Díaz (31) in the Yohasá neighborhood of Posadas, expectations of a resolution slowly fade.

Yesterday, troops from the Cybercrime and Homicide directorates disembarked, who work jointly with the uniformed personnel of the XII Regional Unit. Surveys of testimonials and security cameras were carried out and collaboration was requested from the country’s forces because, as stated, everything indicates that the criminals escaped there.

The preliminary results of the autopsy will be known today, where it will be possible to determine – among other issues – the caliber of the weapon used. It is known, through the police doctor’s examination, that the woman had at least two bullet wounds, one in the temple and the other in her neck. Both with exit hole.

In this context, even without firm leads or a clear hypothesis, El Territorio was able to learn that judicial investigators consider that the attack was not intended for the teacher, but for her husband, who was in the passenger seat. The man, identified as Ismael Sergio BC (42), was shot in the arm, but is out of danger.

The information collected so far indicates that this victim was engaged in currency exchange at the border and his partner had just gone to look for him that afternoon. Beyond that, residents of the town assure that he also mobilized wine and fuel, as he published this medium yesterday.

Regarding the latter, it was said that it was common to see him driving through that same neighborhood in a truck with a tank on top. The woman’s son is also related to this activity and was one of the first to arrive at the scene -before the Police-, running from the border.

The man could testify between today or tomorrow at the police headquarters, depending on how he is, because he is a main witness to what happened. The summary of the provincial force, since there were no detainees, could spend two weeks in Bernardo de Irigoyen and, only after that, will he be summoned before Justice.

Of course, he will do it as a witness and there is no indication that he is responsible for anything. Until yesterday there was no information about an alleged police custody to protect him.

The commotion in the town does not stop and yesterday the messages on social networks were replicated, with words of pain, indignation and calls for justice. Most of them came from the educational field, because the woman worked in two primary schools, one in Irigoyen and the other in Dos Hermanas.

The mayor of the town, Guillermo Fernández, also spoke, who expressed his pain at the departure of a loved one in the community and anticipated that together with the Misiones Police a project was prepared for the installation of security cameras in the town that was submitted to the Ministry of Government.

“We are quite concerned here in the northern zone, where we are right on a dry border and there is a lot of movement. Today the trade is working very well and there are two municipalities opposite, Dionísio and Barracao. When these cases happen, precisely a teacher, a very dear woman in Irigoyen, we are all very sad and worried about what is happening”; expressed the president in an interview with Radioactiva.

And he expanded: “We have to continue working with the Gendarmerie and the Police, with security cameras. We are going to have to continue working a lot on security because – the municipality – is growing too much, there is a lot of movement, a lot of people from outside, a lot of money is handled and we need a certain order on that issue because when these things happen they affect a lot the society”.

Regarding the sequence of events, he said that “a few cases happened, always the motorcycle, the motorcycle and it was never possible to know who it was. Of course we are all concerned, especially me as mayor. We have this town in our hearts, we love it, we see the growth and we are going to have to accompany it with more technology, more intelligence throughout the border area”.

“We put together a project in different places in the downtown area and where the dry border is, where in one step you are on the other side. With more or less between 16 and 18 cameras, it would cover everything, hopefully that can be approved soon, ”he revealed about the need for this technology. He also pointed out that in this way they will not depend on the collaboration of Brazil.

“Hopefully we will have more control in that area because it is an easy area to cross from one side to the other and when these cases happen – the criminals – wear a helmet and on a motorcycle that cannot be identified, which complicates the investigation,” he concluded. .

As El Territorio reported yesterday, the crime occurred around 5:30 p.m. on Malvinas Argentinas street in the Provincias Unidas neighborhood, right at the entrance to the Obrero neighborhood and right next to the border with Brazil. On the other side is Barracao, a town belonging to the state of Paraná.

The woman was in the driver’s seat of a Renault Sandero Stepway she owned when she was hit by a burst of bullets. The vehicle was stopped at the time of the incident. It was then that two motorcycle subjects arrived at the site and stopped right in front of it. In these circumstances, the companion took out a weapon and fired several times at the occupants. Then the bike disappeared from the site.
