Visibly proud, the chairman reported on the highlights of the past year. For example, he celebrated the joint ceremony with Juppenwerkstatt and INTTracht on the occasion of the award of the intangible cultural heritage, the 4-day trip to South Tyrol, the traditional Bregenzerwald costume day, the forest evening with the presentation of the Bregenzerwald booklet, the forest Christmas in Bezau and the drawing competition “All about the forest costume” especially. Many interesting events are planned for the current year.

Well-deserved honors were bestowed on three members of the association. As a founding member, Jürgen Metzler was involved in the establishment of the Bregenzerwald home care association. In addition, he was active as a treasurer and auditor for many years. As a long-standing board member and secretary, Fridolin Mätzler has rendered outstanding services to the home care association. Erwin Feldkircher was a founding member and was particularly active in the life of the association. All three honorees also contributed their articles to Bregenzerwald magazines that are well worth reading.

The Bezau student Theresa Metzler, whose work was selected by the jury in the drawing competition “All about the forest costume”, presented the freshly printed stamps with her creative idea. Texts by the Vorderwald dialect poet Othmar Mennel, who would have been 100 this year, were presented by Michael Bartenstein. In addition to chairman Richard Bilgeri, Elisabeth Ellensohn, Marcella Künzler, Günter Feldkircher, the home care association board also includes Katja Willi, Andreas Kaufmann, Andreas Hammerer, Anton Lingg and Katrin Netter.

In addition to all honorary members of the association, Mayor Paul Sutterlüty, Mayor Josef Anton Schmid, Vice Mayor.
