This summer, it had even been postponed again by “several months”, while the initial release was scheduled for the year 2021. However, it would seem that the publisher Nacon maintains the hope of a release in the course of 2023.
An April – September 2023 window?
The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is, like its eponymous character, a discreet and silent title… Stingy with news and images, the title from the literary saga is starting to be long overdue. Initially scheduled for the year 2021, the game had been postponed to be expected in 2023, without further details. Nacon is now talking about the first half of the 2023 – 2024 financial year.
Indeed, it was during the publication of the turnover for the last quarter of 2022/2023 that the publisher revealed a few elements, such as a release window for The Lord of the Rings: Gollum. According to this two-page document, available onlinethe publisher refers to the outlook for the next fiscal year and discusses its future titles.
Thus, Lord of the Rings: Gollum is said to be “released in the first half of 2023-24”, i.e. an approximate window between the months of April and September 2023. It is interesting that among the upcoming games, such than Robocop: Rogue City or Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown, only The Lord of the Rings: Gollum has a clearly stated release window. It remains to be seen whether the game will keep to the provisional schedule or will be postponed again…
