Within days of learning the verdict for the crime of Lucio Dupuy, the five-year-old boy who was abused and beaten to death by his mother and the woman’s partner in November 2021, the victim’s grandparents spoke to the media from La Pampa and exposed the provocative gesture that one of the defendants had towards them during the trial.
“When I arrived, one of the assassins, the girlfriend, looked at me on purpose. She had the luxury of provoking me. She smiled and winked at me. As cynical as that. I felt very helpless. I was about to react ”, recalled Lucio’s grandfather, Ramón Dupuy, about one of the hearings that he shared with the defendants, Magdalena Esposito and Abigail Páez, in the same room.
”To my grandson or I miss every minute”
In dialogue with Infobae, the man thanked the people for their support and again asked for justice for Lucio. “Loneliness and thinking about him and what he suffered is very hard, horrendous. I miss my grandson not every day, I miss him every minute, ”he said.
The verdict of the trial for the aberrant murder of the minor, who had already suffered numerous episodes of family violence before the one that cost him his life, will be known on February 2. “We want to be in there to see the faces of the murderers when they hear the sentence,” stressed the victim’s grandparents.
